The Fog

Years ago I was driving back from a backpacking trip to the Trinity Alps. It been so hot we could only hike in the early morning. The drive home on I-5 in a car without air conditioning was unbearably hot. When we hit Highway 17 and motored over the summit we could see and feel that the fog was in. It felt like returning home.

Years ago a friend and I were driving back from a backpacking trip to the Trinity Alps, north of Weaverville. The drive south on I-5 in a small car, without air conditioning, was unbearably hot. When we hit Highway 17 and motored over the summit the air was cool and refreshing. The fog was in and it felt like home.
