I've been photographing regularly at the Homeless Garden Project for about a year now. One thing that I understand better is the cyclical nature of life on the farm. As summer ends, fields are prepared for winter crops or cover crops. The work is constant and rarely slows down.
Student volunteers from UCSC help prepare a field for winter planting.
