The iPhone, Instagram, Hipstamatic and Snapseed have got me rethinking photography. Cool looking photos come SO easily with this new technology. This photo was shot on film, developed, printed in a darkroom, sepia toned and then hand tinted. The print looks beautiful. It’s more than pixels on a screen. There is something about the process and final product that keeps me interested in film. (see July 1, 2012 post for v.1)

Last night at the Davenport Roadhouse. Jonny Hoy and the Bluefish are playing a benefit show for the Homeless Garden Project and the Pacific School Food Lab. The place is packed. Mike is mixing drinks, waiting tables, and making sure everyone is happy. He and the rest of the Roadhouse staff are friendly and professional and never seem to get flustered. It was great fun to sit at the bar and watch the crew at work!
