“Allowing yourself to be captivated by a sunset may have a number of psychological benefits.”
This sunset photo was made years ago on color slide film. I waited and waited and finally photographed from the railroad trestle above the mighty San Lorenzo River. I scanned the slide and did a minimal amount of adjusting in Photoshop. Basically what you see is how it looked. Sunsets are cliche for photographers. This one is a special cliche!

Nostalgia is a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time.
I took these photos a month or so ago after a bit of rain.
I’d trade a sunny seventy-five degree afternoon for a cool, blustery rain storm any day!

Forgotten beach toys.
Walking, smoking and making selfies!
A street musician’s still life.
