Soft Power

Sunday at San Francisco MOMA. “The exhibition SOFT POWER is about the ways in which artists deploy art to explore their roles as citizens and social actors. Appropriated from the Reagan-era term used to describe how a country’s “soft” assets such as culture, political values, and foreign policies can be more influential than coercive or violent expressions of power.” If you’re in San Francisco this exhibit is worth seeing.

City Walls

I’ve always liked the layered look of city walls. Concert posters, graffiti and old paint combine to create a textured, abstract look.

I found these two photos in San Francisco not far from the Embarcadero. Made with black and white film.
