What does it say about our society when the only shelter a person
can find is on a subway train?

Street Scene

I had a little time to kill while waiting for the train to South Orange.
A street portrait near Penn Station! He was amused by my interest in
making a photo of him.

Memorial Day

Late in the day, Boat Basin, Riverside Park, NYC.
It was such a vibrant scene. New Yorkers walking, running, biking
and sunning.

The 1 Train

When Alice and I go up to Washington Heights to visit Cooper, we ride the 1 Train.  At 125th Street it comes out of the tunnel and travels above ground. There’s light and atmosphere. You can look around, see the sky and the neighborhood. It’s one of my favorite subway stops. I grabbed this photo quickly out of the open door.

Coney Island

Even in the offseason Coney Island is worth the long subway ride.

It’s a photographer’s dream.
