Winter Scenes

These three photos were made with a panorama camera and Tri-X film.
Right after a storm moved through and the rain stopped.
Cold and wet, late in the day. Maybe the best time for photographing winter scenes.

Joshua Tree Panoramas

Wandering about Joshua Tree National Park with the X-Pan.
Like snow flakes, it seems like no two joshua trees are the same shape.

Desert Shores

Desert Shores is a community on the Salton Sea. It started as a resort in the 1950’s.
It was hit by tropical storms in 1976 and 1977 flooding the town. Since then it has fallen
on hard times. Increased salinity and receding water have created concern about
asthma and other health issues for residents. Fortunately, after years of neglect, there
are restoration efforts underway.

Sunflower Sequence

Every summer sunflowers are planted along the edge of the brussel
sprout fields on Sunset Beach Road, Watsonville.
Photo made with a Polaroid OneStep2 i-Type Camera.
This year I made photos with a variety of cameras.
Photo made with a Hasselblad X-Pan II panorama camera.
It’s fun to see the look different cameras produce.
Photo made with an iPhoneX, edited with Snapseed.
I broke out a trusty Holga 120N for this final photograph.
